Louisiana beauty salon owner, Charmaine LeDeux, is having a bad day. After making a bad investment, Charmaine makes the mistake of dealing with a loan shark, and now the Dixie Mafia is on her tail. While trying to drink her woes away, she decides to become a born again virgin. In walks Raoul Lanier, her all too handsome ex-husband. The news Raoul carries is that his father left her half his ranch, and they are still married. Now the co-owner of a run down ranch in the middle of nowhere, Charmaine decides to go into hiding while her half brother, Luc, negotiates with the loan shark. Raoul is not happy. He gets out of prison after two years to learn that he is still married, and his father left half of his ranch to Charmaine. Things get even worse when he comes home from a long day of work and finds that Charmaine has moved in for a while. With a LeDeux, there is no telling what will come barging into his life next. The more time they spend together, the more the old feelings resurface. Can these two embrace the love they never lost for each other?
THE CAJUN COWBOY is a delightful addition to the Cajun Series. Ms. Hill has delivered, yet again, another humorous and sexy read. Be it Cajuns or Vikings, Ms. Hill knows how to write one sexy hero and a sassy heroine. One of the things I love about this series is the revisiting characters from previous books. She does a great job of intertwining all the characters and seeing them grow with each story. Not to mention all the crazy things these Cajuns come up with. If you enjoy a quick, sexy, humorous read with some action, this is definitely a book for you. THE CAJUN COWBOY is book three in this series, but totally stands alone. I suggest you read them all, because they are terrific. These books have all ended up on my keeper shelf, and I will definitely run out and buy the newest one when it comes out.
